We're a team of two,
building something we love.

We're not hiring for a specific role right now — but we're always glad to hear from people who care about Armenian, language learning, or building products with real craft.

How we work

What it's actually like

The mission comes first

We started this because Armenian deserved better tools — every decision gets weighed against that, not against a roadmap.

Ship small, ship often

Two people building fast beats a big team building slowly. If you like moving quick and owning what you build end to end, you'll feel at home.

Craft over speed-running

We'd rather ship one lesson type that feels right than five that feel generic. Care shows, especially to a diaspora audience that's used to being an afterthought.

It's personal for us

This isn't a market-sizing exercise. Grandparents, hometowns, a language slipping away a generation at a time — that's who we're building for.

Behind the scenes

What building Haylingua looks like

The stack
Real backend, real curriculum

FastAPI + Postgres backend, React frontend, a CMS we built ourselves to author every lesson, exercise, and achievement in the app.

The content
Every exercise is hand-built

No AI-generated filler — Lilit designs how each concept is taught, Armen builds the exercise types to teach it well.

The pace
Weekly, sometimes daily, ships

New lesson content, features, and fixes go out constantly. You'll see your work live within days, not quarters.

The team
Just the two of us, for now

A developer and a language teacher. Small enough that your work is never lost in a queue — you'll talk directly to whoever built the thing you're touching.

Nothing open right now — but that changes fast

If you're an Armenian speaker, a designer, an engineer, or just someone who's obsessed with language-learning products, send us a note. We read everything ourselves.
